Well; this commentary was shared on Medscape and created quit a buzz! With over 330 comments, there was certainly a lot of interest in the topic. Many of these comments (they were posted on medscape page) were not friendly, but I think they missed the point. In this video, I asked the medical community to focus on the big picture and on the important topics that affect patient care. the definition of “Doctor vs. Provider” has been a thorn in the back of many physicians, but I suggested that we need to move on and work on changing other aspects of healthcare that are more pressing. Many of my colleagues did not share this view. As I always say, it’s OK to have differing views. Listen to it and let me know what you think.
